Gaz gold & adjustable mounts

Hi!

Just ordered a set of Gaz Gold coilovers for my S2 track car having read lots of good things about them. I was just wondering if there was a 'recommended' set up specifically for the 944?

Also considering adjustable top mounts for some camber. Any recommendations on this front?

Thanks!

You will not need special top mounts to get more camber, on the GAZ they are designed with big slotted top bolt mounting to the upright on the bottom of the strut leg to allow massive camber if wanted. Some of the racers run up to 5 degrees -ve using the GAZ shocks and with stock top mounts.

Setup will be by preference, personally I much prefer now having the fronts fairly hard and the rears fairly soft (double adjustable on mine). All the optimum settings will be near the midrange on them so you might as well set them half way or slightly stiffer and take things from there.

Mine is still driven to tracks and I run -3 on the front - about the max. on KW's with standard topmounts

Just imported some solid Top mounts from Lindsey racing in the states ,they took 4 days to arrive and are superb quality....
Front end feels noticeably tighter being chucked into a bend, even before the poly bushing we are doing was completed.Going to Silverstone to test fully in a week or two.
Nice solid top mounts ,worth a look on their website..

Id probably suggest the KLR Industries top mounts. Not adjustable which will keep your car legal in all championships if you fancy Speed events at some time in the future, but very firm and not particularly expensive.
