just happened !

heading back home...... thank god !

within half a mile to go.. and I give it some rpm.. and I think I red line it for the 1st time.....

then bring it to a sharp & safe stop...... then got for a gear and suddenly the gear box has lost all of it's movement and that any gear change feels like i'm griding metal to metal....!

all I do it do it in 1st and go the 100metres to home !

Oddly, since I have had the gear when I go from 1st to 2nd.. I can feel too much metal being engaged and was going to ask Tognola Eng' to replace the gearbox fluid with a fully synethic type as it felt it was low.... from the way the gears engaged....

now with this happening I hope it's only a lack of fluid problem.. and thank god I was so close to home ! dont really fancy a new gearbox (car has done 90k miles and I do not know if it is still on it's original gearbox.. no detailed service records to hand !)

also what is the gearbox servicing requirements, ie when is the oil changed ?

any ideas....
