Gear lever gatier fitting

My gear lever gatier has come away from the fixing rectangular trim into the centre console hole, can somebody please tell me does the gatier glue onto this trim or is it fitted different to this?[8|]

The gatier should have elastic round it to hold it on,i had to glue one on my old 944 as it kept coming off !!!
 
yes it does but you have to watch out when you put the gatier on the trim as it sometimes covers up the holding clips.
