Gear Linkage

I'd be more inclined to look at the 968 linkage (if it fits) and modify a new gear shift lever as the Aussie guys did (jet951) as shown in the FAQ :).

I want to rebuild the linkage of my S2, the bit at the back above the 'box. I need the car everyday so can't wait for parts sooo..... I was going to but a 2nd hand linkage and then replace the bushes in this so I can fit it to my car.

Anyone know if the linkage is shared between all 944 models? Is it shared with the 2.0 924 as well?

Answering my own question here....been doing a bit of research and it seems that all the 924/ 944 manual gear linkages are the same. The linkage for the 968 is different. Now anyone got one they want to sell me? [;)]
