I have previously bought engine oil from Opie Oils ( http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-681-car-oils.aspx ) so rang them for a recommendation for a gear oil that would suit my car with its LSD - they recommended a fully synthetic one which should be with me in the next day or two (I have my funnel and tubing at the ready!).
If you punch in your car details, they will come up with some 'standard' and 'upgrade' suggestions - alternatively just give them a ring - I can recommend them for their service and prices, no affiliation etc!
Alternatively, some swear by Swepco from Bert at Berlyn services - I put it in my old 964 and liked it, but have decided to try something different this time.
According to the tech specs, it should be SAE 75/90 API 4 or 5 minimum.

There is a specific type of oil that is for friction plate type LSD's. I can't remember the phrase or terminology. I believe Swepco is suitable for LSD's. I'm not sure what, if any, adverse consequences there might be if you don't put this type of oil in an LSD or visa versa. I've got Swepco in my non-LSD box. Odd stuff. Bright blue.
Scott, I did specifically ask about this (just to be sure!) and he recommended http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-850-silkolene-silktran-syn-5-75w-90-fully-synthetic-gear-oil.aspx - it has had a synthetic Castrol oil in it for the last 3 years.
The spec for the Silkolene does state it is suitable for LSDs, but not specifically which type...
I remember putting that Swepco stuff in my old 964 and being slightly perturbed when I saw this blue stuff running along my plastic tubing into the gearbox..[]

I currently run Castrol XJ 75W140 and although it makes for (slightly) stiffer gearchanges when cold it makes the gearbox much quieter and smoother than some Shell 75W90 I previously ran.
A friend went from a gearbox sounding like a bag of nails with 75W90 to quieter and smoother shifts when filling his with Motul gear 75W140.
