Gear stick gaitor

Yes the gearknob and gaiter are all one piece - easy enough to change though. Two quick tips - make sure you put all the sound deadening back after you have changed it cos you'll get loads of transmission noise otherwise. Secondly, don't be a clever dick like me and be tempted to shorten the gear lever slightly by attacking it with a hacksaw. Although it looked great, for some reason it always vibrated and made an annoying 'zzz' noise after that...

Thanks for that. Are they easy to come by? dont really fancy one of those covers you find on e-bay. They look a bit naff.

I posted on this just at the weekend I think.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Keith Pink at Prestige Parts or trading as kpporsche on eBay is as good as you will get; OEM quality and colour match.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I bought one from Porscheshop.co.uk. I know that people complain about them being expensive, but I didnt't think that 28 quid was too much, and it's very good quality.

It's a bit of a fiddle getting the leather tucked in round the top of the gearstick, but worth taking a few minutes to make sure that you've got it right.

Look around - after i bought my 944 1st thing i did was replace the Leather on the stick and not knowing any better got stung 45quid at Autobahn/pct!
