Gearbox mount

Just had a clutch replaced and afterwards there was an annoying metallic/vibrating noise. The Independent has investigated and claims that it is a gearbox mount that now needs replacing.

Now I have instructed them to replace as I want the car back without the noise but any views on these as a point of failure - the car is only a 2003 with 35k on the clock. Also I presume that they had to remove the mounts to fit the new clutch so what are the chances of any damage to the mount being caused by the Independent in the first place or incorrect installation?

I also had one control arm replaced last month and now they say that all the others need replacing to stop the suspension creaking?

Thanks

Mines an '03 with 20k, the gearbox mount was noted as a posible problem in the indy inspection I had done before purchasing. A subsequent OPC inspection revealed nothing although I did forget to ask them to look specifically at it! doh! Anyway, it came up first time so maybe it's a weak point? I have to say I have not noticed any noises or vibrations tho'.
