Gearbox oil. What are you all using ?

As the heading really. last time I changed the box oil i used the Porsche recommended stuff. But I have been reading on different forums about the difference made by some oils when used with lsd boxes.
Anyone have some recommendations ?

I use Castrol SAF-XJ 70-140 in my RS and Cup and wouldn't use anything else. It's expensive (more than £10 a litre which means you'll need the best part of £40 worth for a change) but it's the best. Anything else is, in my view, a compromise.

I change the gearbox oil, regardless of mileage, twice a year. As a result, the change is very, very good.

Au contraire Melv me old fruit. I am failrly sure it was some castrol product i used the last time. But I have'nt changed it for some time now. Or was it Caster oil can't remember now[:D] Anyway that's rich coming from someone with the same brakes he bought the car with [:D]
