Gemballa Stuff - Any comments

First Porsche, first post.

I'd like to personalise my car & I really like the looks of the Gemballa GTR Kit...

Check out www.gemballa.com

I'm thinking....
Complete Exhaust which needs a new rear bumper
Side Skirts
Rear spoiler
I wouldn't say no to an induction kit, throttle body and even ecu ( dependent on price.

However does anybody have any experience of Gemballa stuff
&
most importantly how is it going to affect resale ?

Thanks in advance

Joe

If you modify any car you ahve an issue with resale and insurance. Fact. Howvere check out what Helen Goff has done with Jasmine ... looks good to me.

I would like to do something similar and I was/am really interested in their power plant, but there is so little information. Drop one in and you have a heck of machine, but without the other Porsche stuff that makes it a ... Porsche.

Think hard about teh inestment and consider moving range, eg 996, rather than bespoking something. It will be an issue.

Howvere, if you do decide to go the hog then let me know how you get on! All ears.

It's expensive....do it if you plan to keep the car for a bit and injoy it. but be aware it's not everyones cup of tea so you will be limiting your market when it comes to selling.

some insurance companies won't touch a modifed car others jack the price up to silly money so you need to shop around for a good insurance company.

Insurnace wise how is yours stacking up Helen? Have you told them? I would have thought that its appearance would sell it .....

yes i've declared on my insurance. Tesco's wanted to charge me a couple of hundred more. wouldn't say why.
so i changed to Liverpool and Victoria who wern't bothered so long as engine hadn't been touched...which it hasn't.

Helen,
What have you modified on your Boxster ? From the photo's on the forum it must be subtle as I can spot it, but I'm not a Boxster aficionado [;)]

Regards,

Arrrh, yes, just looked at the photo's again and it looks great. All very subtle and the rear spoiler which just finishes off the back end as it should have always been. I want one now, second thoughts Maria would always be nicking the keys and I don't think I could persuade her that we could strap Joe's car seat to the boot lid[:D] I'll stick to my un-subtle Guards red bespoilered beastie with back seats.
