Gen 2 997 Oil Usage

Congrats to all you guys who have new gen 2 997's - I've had mine over two months now and it is great - one word of caution - oil usage is expected at 600ml per 1000 miles for 3-5 K miles. This means you need to check and top up you oil regularly - the process is simple but the measurement is a little complex, waiting for the engine to be warm, and the car still and flat. Do make the effort to check the oil every few hundred miles and keep it topped up. Mine has used about 2.6 - 2.8 litres in 4K miles!!

Thanks for the warning Darren.

I've covered just over 500 miles and will check the oil level on the next journey and report the results back on this thread.
