I had a call from Exeter OPC telling me that there is a "campaign" to check/replace something to do with the exhaust system - but didn't go into any great detail and just said bring it in and we'll fix it under warranty. Any other Gen 2 owners had this yet? If not I suggest a call to your OPC to inquire.

Gen 2 Exhaust recall

I was at the presentation of the Panamera last night at Hatfield and talked to the service guys. It seems that a small bracket is prone to fracture and although it is an quick job to replace they ar naturely not keen to do it on a hot exhaust ( elfand safety I guess). They will need the car for a few hours.
Quite impressed by the Panamera - whensitting in the drivers seat it feels very 911 ish. However it is not for me yet.

There is a thread in the 997 members only forum regarding recalls under the heading Recalls - Check what's due for all models. I emailed David Kneen at Porsche Byfleet and by 7:30 am the next day he had emailed me that I needed to recalls. W913 which requires a change of an exhaust clamp & W909 which requires a modification to the PDK gearbox. I immediately phone Hatfield OPC and the booked it in straight away.
If you guys are booking in your Gen2's for the exhaust brackets it's worth contacting David at Byfleet to see if there are any other recalls required.

Well, that was a waste of time1 Up at 0630 to take the car in first thing and allow the exhaust to cool so they can work on it. After 15 mins I'm told that the recall can affect either the bracket, the fixings or something else (not specified) On my car it was the fixings that need changing, not the bracket and, surprise, surprise, they had the bracket in stock but not the fixings! Is it me? Why bother booking it in if they don't have all the possible bits in stock - so now I have to make another 70 mile round trip next week.[] Did get to sit in the Panamera though. Huge beast with a Starship Enterprise centre console![]
