Gen 2 - LED tail lights condensation

Any other Gen 2 owners got permanent condensation in the tail lights. Opc salesman told me this is a recognised fault, as LEDs not hot enough to dry off condensation.. Anyone had their tail lights changed under warranty, for this problem?

My Jan 2010 GT3.2 also has condensation in the LED lights... I'll call OPC West London to register the fault and see what comes of it...

If I were a betting man, "They all do that sir" is where I would put my money.

**Edit, just called OPC West London and they mentioned a few generation 2 cars have had this problem and there is a lense modification that they will fit under warranty. Just waiting on confirmation of the parts and a time to bring the car in...

Cheers
Mark

Do you have the code for this, I'm speaking to my OPC about it next week and if they are anything like my BMW dealer I'll need to point them in the right direction!

Mine was fixed under warranty - they replaced the light clusters which, they say, have been redesigned, presumably to address this issue.

Work was done a few weeks ago now and, so far, no condensation.

Follow up to my earlier post. OPC replaced my rear clusters due to condensation problem.

After washing the car they did fog up a little, but that soon went away unlike the old rear clusters.

Always worth a call to your OPC.

Regards
Mark
