Gen 2 Oil Temp slow to rise

I noticed the oil temp takes around 10- 15 mins to come off the stop ,( driving gently ) and then comes up in steps. It was a bit alarming first time as i was used to much quicker warming in the Gen1 C2S.
I am guessing this is due to the new on demand oil system in Gen 2 but wondered if others notice the same ?

Me too. Maybe driving around in "auto" gently is not the way to go? The revs are so low I guess it's no wonder the oil takes a while to heat. Today I tried "manual" PDK from the outset and kept the revs higher and it seemed to heat up in much the same time as my Gen 1 did. What are the manual Gen 2 owners finding, I wonder? Mind you I find the on demand oil pressure a bit alarming too having been used to seeing it more or less nailed to the 5! Hovering around 2-3 a lot of the time seems strange.
