Gen 2 turbo s

Having done some research the price of the turbo s seems quite good when it now comes with all the options I would have specced on a standard turbo anyway (ie sports chrono, pccb, paddle shift etc etc).

Anyone else come to the conclusion? I am now tempted.

Still enjoying my ecurie25 cars though, here is this weekends latest which arrived at the club on Thursday night. Still dry and sunny in the SE at the moment to enjoy

I just did a back to back with the turbo and its still the car for me, other than the lambo 560-4

I wouldn't buy the 'S' for the extra power. I think it's more of a token gesture to differentiate the 'S' model.

However, I do think the specification is important. Most of the chassis options on the 'S' will contribute to the improved handling and feedback, which is where the new gen 2 Turbo seems to have gained the most ground.

So, it's really a costing exercise. Work out the desired spec Turbo and then compare it with the 'S' to determine the best buy.

Not sure about Turbo/'S' build slots though. I'm told they are fairly limited with plenty of demand.

With the same spec and your own options the S does work out cost effective...

Also it is an S and not an optioned Turbo, so that exclusivity is part o the cost equation..
Nice place to be...[8D]

Good choice - what is the waiting time?

Hi,

Been quoted June/July.

Deposit paid and now waiting.

Ok, it's sheer indulgence and a total extravagance after just having collected a Gen 2 Turbo but we're on the planet once.

Went to spec the car yesterday and its the same price as the same spec turbo so the s is a logical choice really. Hatfield OPC have had three cars and sold all so next allocation is post July for the MY11 cars and I am ok to wait on that anyway for back end of 2010/early 11. Big question for me is do I place the deposit. I am thinking yes yes yes, it woudl be rude not to.

Nice gen 2 turbo in white on Pistonheads currently by the way.

I like the white but also the mid grey with aerokit on, like the carbon seats too, they had a new boxter in with the folding versions that the turbo s will have and they are good
