Gen II S Ordered

Hi, I'm going full circle with my Porsche ownership. I have just sold my Cayenne GTS and have previously owned both a 997 S and a Boxster S. Now I'm now going full circle back to a Boxster, last week I ordered a March build Boxster S and have spec'd the car but still have a week or so to revise the spec if I wish. Im pretty happy with my spec but was just interested to see if anyone thinks that I have left anything out beneficial. My previous Boxster S had 19" wheels as well as PASM. I have stuck with the standard 18" on this one and not bothered with PASM. I felt the ride was not as smooth with the bigger wheels and when the ride height reduction with PASM was on.

Basalt Black, PCM3 with Telephone, Bi-Xenon's, BOSE, Park Assist, Auto Climate Control, Heated Seats, Universal Audio Interface, Wind deflector, Three Spoke Sports Steering Wheel, Crested Seats and Mats.

i so wish i had crested seats.......
what about coloured centre caps/sports chrono? not biggies though, sounds like a lovely car!
what made you come back to the Boxster fold?

...child number 1 came along shortly after the boxster did so I sold that and got a 911, child number two and all its belongins came along a year later so got a cayenne, now I need a seven seater to cart the whole family around but still wanted something for the weekend sir, I have nothing but fond memories of my boxster so thought why not and took the plunge...

I originally put coloured centres on the order form but decided against them as I thought black centres would look better on a black car, I never thought about Sports Chrono but thinking about it now I would probably only have this for the launch control, and I think you only get that on the PDC transmittion. I am seriously thinking about adding Porsche Sports Exhaust though.

Hi, I did think about it but I had heard stories comming out of Germany (dont know if there is any truth in them) that certain people within Porsche think its been released a model year too soon before fully ironing out some major problems in the software thats causing low speed jolting gear changes and problems with the general packaging into a Boxster... 12 months down the line I would have definately gone for PDC and sports chrono. Thanks

great spec, and interesting news on the pdk.only thing i would have added is the sports seats but i guess you have tried those and prefer not to have them.enjoy your new wheels, come march[;)]

Tyres technology and tyre pressures have been revised for th gen 2 Boxsters so the ride will be more compliant whatever the suspension and wheel choice.

I'd still go for 19s and PASM myself, but only because i hate the gap in the wheelarches of non PASM cars (even if it is a mere 10mm difference)
