Gen2 Owners - So where are our Front Fogs Then?

Guys,

Has anyone else noticed that we don't have any fog lights on the front of our cars?

Is it because we have the retina damaging Day Time Driving Lights and therefore don't get any Front Fogs at all?

Also when playing with the fog lights ( nee light!!) I also noticed that there is only one rear LED fog light too?

Did we only have one rear fog light on our old(!!) 997 Gen 1 Cars, I cant remember now, I am getting too old.

Any thoughts?

Nige.

Nigel,

Noticed the same myself last week when driving through.... yes, you guessed it Fog...

The LED running are rather bright and quite a few work mates have commented on them after I've been driving behind them...

Love the look of them though!

Yep I have had comments on the daytime running lights too!!

Still think its curious that we dont have front fog lights or even the option of ordering them either.

My wife's new Audi A4 has Daytime Running Lights, Xenon Headlights and Front Fogs too.

Curious!!

According to the Porsche 'dealer' brochure as all gen 2 cars now have xenons they see no need for fog lights as well

I have always find "fog lights" a complete waste of time in fog. Dipped headlights have always worked for me.
My A5 has LED daylight running lights which always attracts more attention for pedestrians than my 911 ever has - it has fog lights but for me they are a cosmetic appendage and do not help me in fog.

Single rear high intensity fog lights have been standard on 911's for over 15 years - there is space in the near side light cluster but no bulb.
