Geneva Motor Show 2017

Once again looking at ideas for the quieter months, wondered if there was much interest in a visit to the Geneva Motor show. It runs from the 9th-19th of March 2017 and looking at appox costs at the moment you can fly with Easy Jet from Newcastle.
Dates and times of flights are currently available leaving from Newcastle on the morning of Thursday the 9th leaving at 7.00am & returning Friday evening at 15.00pm costs currently £67.00 for flights only. Hotels do seem rather expensive though around £200 per couple.
It is actually possible to fly there and back on the Thursday although it wouldn't give you more than 4 hours approx to have a good look around.
Just a thought if anyone wants to look into this.

Entry fee to Show - 16chf
Flight out (EasyJet) Newcastle 9th March 07.00 Return 10th March 15.10 - £98.48 (each)
Hotels based on 2 x Twin rooms (4 persons):
Hotel Longemalle - 2.3miles from Airport - £393 (£98 each)
Hotel Des Alps - 2.8miles from Airport - £327 (£81.75 each)
Hotel are going quickly !!!!!

 
We attend most years, early flight out of Luton about 7-ish with the time difference means that we arrive at the show for when it opens, spend the day at the show or sometimes take a 15 minute bus journey down to the lake as well. Then a flight back around either 5 or 8 in the evening. Very easy to do as the show is only a 10 minute walk from the airport.

Personally about 5 hours at the show is enough, especially once it gets busy unfortunately its no longer possible to get back into the show once you leave which is a shame as the break in the middle with lunch overlooking the lake is excellent. Show is easy to do in a day but its also a great place for a couple of days but limited without a car.
 
Just booked the Nh Hotel at the airport for about £70 on Sunday 19th. 2 nights before at Autiel Hotel about £235. Appears you get free public travel from the hotel who give you a pass. Some good deals with Show entry ticket included. Bracing myself for the other costs in the second most expensive city in Switzerland.
 
Was planning on doing it in one day, as others have said 4 - 5 hours seems enough for me. Bit of lunch then flight home.
