I need a good set of genuine 17 inch Cup 1's for a 1991 3.3 turbo?? Can anyone please help me?

And - could someone actually confirm the correct standard rim sizes and offsets for my car as I have been given differing sizes, part numbers and information from several sources including my local OPC and several specialists!!

thankyou

Simon

to the best of my knowledge Turbo Cup1s have the following part numbers

965.362.124.00 (Front)
965.362.128.00 (Rear)

The fronts are 7" wide with 55 offset
The rears are 9" wide with 55 offset

Non OEM Cup1s are also avalaible with 52 front offset and 47 rear offset - many 964 owners fit these without any rubbing issues.

cheers
David

Genuine cup 1s are hard to find. A set came up on the Pistonheads parts classifieds a couple or so weeks ago and sold within minutes (£750). The seller goes under the name of 911 Rims and seems to have a good knack of picking up used wheels. I bought a set of BBS sport classics off him and can confirm he's a good guy to deal with. Might be worth sending him an e-mail to say what you're looking for. You can e-mail him through one of his adverts e.g.

BTW the link above if for a set of Cup 2s if anyone is interested.

Also, I have a set of Cup 1 replicas that will be for sale soon. They've got some ugly kerbing on so need a good refurb but will be going cheap for this reason.

steve, drop me a note on the cup 1 replicas will you? Might be interested for a set of trackday wheels.

Will do Hugh. Hoping to take some photos this weekend and will give you first refusal before putting them up for sale.

David, thanks for the specs, your info ties in with what I was thinking.

Steve, thanks for the mail, I have already contacted '911 rims' and they are going to let me know if they come across a set.

In the meantime, the search continues..........

thanks

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the lead, will try and gather some more info about them.

Ricky, I may well have those fronts off you, at least I will have made a start!! Whats the history behind them, any repaired damage etc?

Even more confussed!!

Now I've got information (porsche parts printout) saying rears should be 9,5J x 17 ET 68??
Part number 965 362 128 05

starting to give up hope[&o]

on the plus side, I believe some 968's had the same size rears fitted??

The 9.5J ET68 wheels were fitted to the Cup cars - not the Turbos!! As mentioned earlier in the thread, the Turbos were fitted with 9J ET55 rears. The Turbo 3.6 cars used 10J ET61 Speedlines.

Simon, for another option, see post #32 by Barty in this thread:

Steve thanks for the ebay lead, I now have a set of genuine 17x7 & 17x9 et 55 cup 1's for my 965! [:)]

They were local to me too, so went to see them the other night before i bid on them today. Genuine wheels with superficial wear and tear (nothing a quality re-furb wont sort out). They are actualy better than they looked in the pictures.

Thanks too all for the info and help above.

I was sitting at the laptop at 4.45 today watching that auction and thinking if this doesn't go much above £330 I'm going to stick a cheeky bid in.

Then suddenly with less than a minute to go it shot up to £600+. You certainly wanted those wheels Simon! [:D]

I was watching as the seconds ticked down too....couldn't believe the price jump at the end [:D]. Well done Simon...glad to have been of help and even if they need a good refurb I think you still got them well under the market value [:)]
