Further to the other post re overmats, I have bought genuine ones from Porsche Exeter but they come with 4 metal bars, 2 long ones and 2 short ones plus an Allen key. How are they supposed to be fitted ? if somebody has these fitted in their car please help me.

968 parts perhaps? Apart from the colour, the original mats in my CS were exactly the same as in the first oval that I owned. The allen key will be to loosen the seat runner mounting cap headed bolts: youll be better off with a 6mm allen drive though.

They sound like the 968 mats. Do both mats have holes in them at the back where they meet the seats, if so you just undo the two front mounting bolts (allan head) on each seats, slide the metal retaining strips underneath and do up the allan bolts now the straps are in place. On most of the later mats the passenger mat no longer has holes so you only need one pair of the retaining strips. If you do end up with a spare pair of strips, I lost my ones that came with my new mats before I got a chance to fit them and would be happy to buy the spare ones off you.....

Only one mat has the holes so I do have a spare set of fasteners. But as two are one length and the other two are another length I am not sure which one are needed. Will post here when fitted over the next 24 hrs.
