Geometry / Alignment

Just wanted to say that after being unhappy with the setup and handling of my 2003 986 'S' for a while, and also not having had terribly good experiences with so called 'alignment specialists', I decided to take my car to Chris Franklin at Center Gravity near Coventry. I'd read good reports about Chris and the service he provides, and let me say I was not disappointed! Chris is one of the most passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge and understanding of geometry, along with his attention to detail and precision is second to none. I'd read testimonials (perhaps with some scepticism) from other people saying their cars had been transformed after Chris's touch, and wow, just how right they were! During the test drive that Chris conducts after the work, it felt like I had a different car - the car it should have always been. A transformation indeed.

The car now feels more alive yet settled; it handles with greater poise and precision; performance and responsiveness has increased remarkably; fuel consumption has also improved.

In summary, I cannot speak highly enough of Chris and would have no hesitation to recommend the service he offers - its been the best money I've spent in ages (and no, I'm not on his payroll!). Even though Chris is located about 150 miles from where I live, the journey was well worthwhile - espcially the drive on the way home!!!!!!! Jeff.

I'm glad that Chris can work his magic on the Boxster as well as the 997, you will see quite a few similar threads about Chris's work.
Like you many have traveled a fair distance to get to him and all have found it worthwhile.

Sure many can set the geometry but not usually as you the driver wants it to be.
