Geometry set up

Take a couple of days holiday and book in to see Chris Franklin at Center (sic) Gravity in Atherstone, Warwickshire
www.centregravity.co.uk.

It'll be an excellent experience and both car and driver will benefit enormously from the visit.
Regards,

Clive

+1,
If you can get away for a few days and ideally fit it in with some other event or something down south, it's well worth it. I've done this several times now and I'm sure will be doing it again in the future.

Used Pro Grip myself on a 987 and the difference in handling was immediately felt and the cost was under £60 used a Hunter machine . My son who is into Honda's a lot of the guys in his group use and used them
I know its not the same as the job that Centre Gravity do and they have an excellent reputation not putting them down .BUT you can have 2 weeks in Tenerife with the difference in cost and you can do the job in 1 day .
Worth a call . also have great guy in E-K but a little further to travel .Kenny Brown in Hillington Glasgow has done a few of the track guys cars and seems to know his way round things

There are very many organisations able to accomplish a decent chassis setup, but relatively few that take account of your individual driving style and evaluate the way you wish your vehicle to handle.

The 911 is a valuable and potent asset and it would a pity to drive one that is not performing to its optimum capability.

Clive

It had a great reputation when Willie owned it I had a car done once and was excellent many on here have used them but no idea how there work is now. A lot depends in what you are looking to get done if it is the standard toe /camber most are good if you want what the likes of CG do that is a completely different set up altogether .

I'm not looking for anything spectacular to be honest, I just want the car set up correctly as at speed just now the car doesn't feel very stable.

I have not long had the car myself so have no idea when the geometry was last looked at.

I'm leaning towards pro grip as I don't have time at the minute for a trip to CG, CLCM was recommended by a friend but he hasn't been there in a few years so things could well have changed.

As has been said there are many places that can do a decent geometry set up, but if there's an actual underlying problem with your car beyond the settings, be it dampers, bushings, chassis, etc etc then this I think is where someone like Chris comes into his own.
Maybe worth getting a local set up done, if that doesn't solve the issue then I'd be looking at CG myself.

There are plenty of places in Scotland to take your car, absolutely no justification for travelling hundreds of miles down south for a Geometry setup on a road car - absolute madness. Kenneth Brown in Hillington nr Glasgow Airport sets up many race cars - Porsche and non-Porsche and I can guarantee there is NOTHING that the miracle of marketing that is Centre of Gravity could teach Kenneth - and I can guarantee that it will be a fraction of the cost north of the border.
