That's half their menu price for the job. (£217 inc VAT).

If that's for checking and adjusting, I'd say it's a good price. The book times are 48 minutes to check, and 54 minutes to adjust.

Richard,

Thanks - that's interesting - its in for a service and they called to say it looks like its out due to tyre wear patterns. I asked how much and they initially said £217. I said I'd leave it for now ... they came back and offered for it to be done for 100 incl VAT instead. Guess that's the economic climate working for me, for once ...

At my recent OPC service they advised an alignment due to very slight wear. They did not have the facilities to do it in house so I went to my local Porsche Approved Body shop (HB Panelcraft in Preston, Lancs) that I have used before and they carried out the job, inc adjustments, for £100 plus vat.

I was quoted 100 by Agnews OPC up in Belfast. I don't think they do it onsite though.
It's a 200 odd round trip but the M1 motorway from Dublin to Belfast is a great road for stretching the cars legs :) within legal limits of course.

Agnews take it to Central Tyre Services who charge £65 for the work. Only thing I don't like is that they say to leave the car. I appreciate it can take a couple of hours but they really discourage you from waiting about even in the waiting room. Go figure.

Chris is good, he set my car up last year and it was transformed. The springs had settled slightly which resulted in too much camber that changed the toe in as well making the car twitch about at speed. Chris's test drive includes taking hands off the wheel and hitting the brakes hard; the car just stopped in a straight line no drama. he also will demonstrate the cornering power of the 911 on a local roundabout at speeds I would never have attempted before.
He will not consider the job done till he has achieved the perfect set up which may take several hours. Expect to pay over £200 but you will know the car is done properly. He encourages you to stay and watch how its done, you may even get to
assist if you want to.

Apologies to all concerned - but I have just been advised that the OPC [Bolton] does in fact have this facility. Somewhere along the way I have misunderstood or not listened correctly!!
.
I am also informed that they are very competitive and will compete or price with most people.
