OK here goes.
Looking to do a trip across Europe to visit the German Motor Museums (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes & Audi)
I have drafted a schedule which is open to comments. This is a reasonable amount of driving.
5 - day tour.
1st Night
Newcastle to Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) overnight ferry (approx. £350.00 car + 2 people) then drive to:
Ijmuiden to Stuttgart. 6.5hrs - 650kms (+ coffee stop)
2nd Night
Stuttgart Hotel (approx. £50.00 p/room)
Visit Porsche & Mercedes Museums (8 euros entry, Porsche free if you produce your membership card)
3rd Night
Stuttgart Hotel (approx. £50.00 p/room)
Drive to Munich. 2.5hrs - 240kms
Visit BMW Museum
Drive to Ingolstadt 1hr - 80kms
Visit Audi Museum
Drive to Frankfurt 3.5hrs - 320kms
4th Night
Frankfurt Hotel (approx. £70.00 p/room)
Drive to Ijmuiden for 14.30 check in 5hrs - 470kms
5th Night
Ijmuiden to Newcastle (overnight ferry)

£680 + food (taking an ave. of 35mpg fuel should be no more than £130.00)
1560kms (approx.) - 1000miles
You could by-pass Ijmuiden & drive to Dover thus saving approx. £200.00 but fuel cost & extra night B&B would be slightly increased
What's your thoughts?

I have shortened this down to 5 days as members work or have other commitments this can be adjusted to suit

Kenny - All sounds good, however I'll need to convince the boss that she'll cope with all that driving and may prove difficult - work in progress. I've been to the BMW museum some time ago and was great - the new one I believe is Awesome - last time I was in Munich I saw it under construction - unbelievable building. Love Munich, my sort of place really - lots of Beer, sausage, Um Pa and the cars aren't bad either.
