getting involved

Hi, my name is lee and I currently own a 1992 964 c4 cab. I have had this approximately for 15 months, before which I had a 1983 911sc which i owned for just over a year. I have been doing quite a lot of work on my 964 to hopefully be road ready in april / may of 2010.
I would like to get my car out and about with other owners and get involved in events / shows/ etc.

My question is do I need to be a member to come along to R7 meetings and get involved, and do I need to wait until I can turn up in my 964 or can I plod along in my every day car.

regards lee

Plod along in anything, like most of us; can't see what anyone drives for the next few months anyway! Light, dry evenings bring out most of the beasts in my experience. A bit late to add this, but the November monthly meeting is tonight at the Owl at Hambleton, new Selby. Starts at 8 ish; people arrive 7.15 onwards. See you maybe.

hi cheers for reply. yeah tonight is a bit short notice. do i need to join PCGB or is anyone welcome lee

Hi Lee As Paul says we're really not bothered what you drive to our meetings, particularly during winter. My own car is in hibernation until the spring anyway. Meetings are really for Club members - if we allowed non-members to come along on a regular basis and enjoy the same benefits as members it wouldn't be fair on those who have paid their subscriptions. Having said that, if you want to see what goes on at Regional level befoe you decide to join us, come along to one of our meetings. There are lots of benefits to joining the Club besides Regional meetings and events. Have a look on the website [link=http://www.porscheclubgb.com]www.porscheclubgb.com[/link] where you can join on-line or e-mail me your address and I will send you an application form.
