Paul (or anyone) - how do i get my photos into a post rather than add them as an attachment.

I upload and have tried both embed in post and not embed in post - either way i get it as an attachment - whereas on many other posts the photos appear in the post itself

You upload the photo to a hosting website like [link=http://www.photobucket.com]www.photobucket.com[/link] Then you insert the address of your photobucket image into your post by pressing the icon at the top right of the entry panel. It looks like a yellow envelope with a stamp and two mountains [&:]

Simple! [:)] First, join photobucket and download the picture you want there. Free, and easy to use for a computer novice like me. Then, when you post a new thread or a reply there is a row of icons above your text. The far right one is a yellow postcard of a mountain with either the sun or a postage stamp in the corner. Back on photobucket, you can click on "direct link" under the picture you want to post, and then "control+c" will copy it. Back in your PCGB post, click the yellow mountain thing and "control+v" will paste the direct link. You should now have a stunning photo in your post, like the one below....I'm taller in real life! Hey! I haven't had breakfast yet... Another alternative for the OP as I have seen that he has found the attach picture function - just check the box "embed picture in post" which is available when you are replying. That puts a thumbnail of your attached picture in the post which is clicky. uch better than the cumbersome 2 click link thing it does by default.as
