Porsche has unveiled yet another special-edition Porsche 911, this time to celebrate 10 years of the company in China.

The car "" based on the Porsche Turbo S model "" features a gold exterior, 19-inch alloys, carbonfibre bonnet and rear spoiler and 10th anniversary badging on the door sills as well as an individual plaque.

Inside the special 911 gets Alcantara seats with contrasting gold stitching, carbonfibre touches to the dash and new floor mats.

Power remains the same as the standard model, with the Turbo S's 3.8-litre engine producing 523bhp and 516lb ft of torque, enough to launch the car to 60mph in 3.3sec and onto a top speed of 196mph.

Although pricing hasn't been announced, numbers for the anniversary model will be limited to just 10 units.

This is for the Chinese market as they love Gold cars

Only 10 people in the whole of China love gold cars! If it's more then Porsche are missing a trick [:D][:D][:D]

No no they understand exactly what they are doing. They are making them very exclusive and sought after to raise the status of the marque. When I lived in Hong Kong my next door neighbour had a gold roller ( It was literally covered in gold leaf)

I can see you are all jealous!!

So to rub more 'Tiger Balm' into the wounds .... the web special (Protective goggles advised):

btw: Begs to ask why Porsche aren't producing a PCGB Anniversary Edition .... they have done one for other countries!!!!!

"In 2006, the Porsche 911 Club Coupe was produced in limited numbers (50) as a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Club of America (PCA). The first production model was returned to the Porsche Museum in Germany and one lucky PCA member won the fiftieth model in a sweepstakes drawing. The remaining 48 models were offered to randomly chosen PCA members who applied to purchase this extremely rare car. The Porsche 911 Club Coupe which is available only in the unique Azurro California color, comes equipped with a more powerful 381 hp motor thanks to the X51 Powerkit. Other features unique to this special model include a vehicle identification number (VIN) which ends with the production number and special commemorative badging and door sills which adorn the interior."

It seems China have not had the same special additions that we have had. Just had a quick look around their website. At a glance, the 911 Black edition isn't on the website. Their Boxster and Cayman black editions don't have the power upgrade and are based on the based model engine.
