Gillet vf Bischoff Muffler - difference in fitting?

the heat shields are the same but are in need of replacing as they are nackered
...I think they're motorsound, how can you tell
Post the part n that is stamped in the housing.
what happens if you don't use new ones?
You risk melting the rear bumper and the tail lights.

You do risk heat damage to the bumper if you don't replace them.

do the doughnut rings always come with the gillet mufflers if they're original with the car? i have bischoff currently but would like to put gillet RSRs on, can you order the doughnut rings seperately?
