Hi people
Does anyone know a nut in a Metalic Grey 54 Boxer in Glasgow, this morning on the M73-M74 driving my Audi RS2 south, from behind he wen't from the outside lane to the inside and then to the hard sholder and undertook everybody to emerge at my side (I am in the fast lane not hanging about) he then undertook me and then slowed down to let me past then sat close to my tail, I left at my exit one mile up the road.
I can only presume he was in a hurry because of a dire emergency, I think not !
This is the kind of behavior that give we Porsche drivers a bad name never mind the danger to the driving public, this was not a young man, he was in his thirties.
Is it me ? am I just getting old or was this a normal thing to expect from Porsche drivers.

....this was not a young man, he was in his thirties....

That makes him young in my book. [;)]

Unfortunately, there is no particular form of certification for Porsche ownership (or for any other performance car to that matter) so you will get every type of idiot behind the wheel at some time or another.

We are assuming he hadn't stolen the car of course.

Thank you John![FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]BTW Dave; RS2 - MMMMMmmmmmmm I came very close to buying one last year, but now I've got old (by your measure if not John's) and sensible and I'm looking at diesels.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Funnily enough I have been looking at smart brabus roadsters, (in addition to my 944 of course) and have pretty much decided not to bother (if only they made a manual).

Been there and done the smart thing, Tony (I had the 6th cabrio registered in the UK and a coupe before that). They are fun to drive but outside town they struggle to get 40mpg. They became a bit of a statement for gentlemen of a certain persuasion and unless your recent marriage was a sham I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to you [;)]. Rightly or wrongly I got uncomfortable with the image.

Hi Lads & Lassies
Thanks for the replies, I was so angry I just had to put pen to paper, I have driven Porsches for 25 years (yes Fen I am old like you) and this behaviour is unnecessary.
Fen the RS2 is unassuming, quick and nice to drive, just a little turbo lag and 22 MPG, Zeb what's these ashes you mention, I can't say I have seen anything in the news, is it something to do with a fire somewhere?

It's the 22mpg that means I can't have one I'm afraid.
