After weeks of getting things ready to rebuild engine Ive now found its beyond repair ,one bore scored and scratched ,two heads full of holes and deep pits(5ml) ,and chunk of metal broken off at top of bore which is in same place as hole in head when you look at headgasket looks as if its been blowing from that cylinder into water ,So am going to get replacement engine hopefully from paul anderson when he answers the phone! But does anyone know if i can sell and where the best place to sell some good bits from engine ie. 7 pistons ,crankshaft, sump, and so on .
Any info would be great

Ouch, nasty surprise! Hope you get it sorted without any more undue hassle!

With regards to selling the bits and pieces off the old engine, either Ebay or a 928 forum I guess! 928.org.uk's mailing list is the most active I've found in the UK.
