Was in Porsche Glasgow today getting a major service on my GT3 ( reduced labour rates for older car and PCGB 10%parts discount ) and saw a car in the workshop getting a lot of attn and I mean a lot, must have had 6 or 7 folk round it having a detailed look.
The car in question was an S reg ? '78 930 3.0 turbo in silver. It had just arrived off a transporter
It was purchased in England for Dealer restoration but it is a Scottish ( Glen Henderson ) car and is reputed to be one of the last two RHD 3.0s to be built.
The interior colour was originaly brown with beige pinstripe but has been changed to black. It's also wearing a 3.3 spoiler.
What are the chances of one of us knowing the owner(s) or at least recognising the car.
Sorry did not get the reg no and no pics but I know the dealership would be very keen to find clues to its ownership history, I was offered a closer look but time didn't allow but it should be an interesting resto.

Looked at it yesterday as well. Other than wrong rear spoiler and I am told wrong colour seat inserts its pretty original and will be a great show car once restored.110K miles I think or thereabouts. .
