Hi guys
I have a friend looking for a Boxster for around a £10k budget ideally around 02 reg, with lowest poss miles and FSH.
He has a Q and as a non Boxster owner I thought Id ask the guys who really know!
Do Glass rear windows in the hood only come on the 3.2s ?
Any other advice or pointers or even cars avab at that price would be really appreciated.

Cheers

It might be difficult to find anything as low as £10 for an 02 car, especially with a history and lowish miles.

My year 2000 2.7 cost £10,500 last Feb. Prices have come down since but at the time I was looking at early 2.5 cars mine was a bit of a find. It did have a full main dealer history which I have verified with the dealer.

However to get a car for around £3,000 less than it should have been at the time I had to compromise. Mileage was over 90,000, the brakes all needed changing, there is a split in the front bumper (not easily noticeable but the bumper needs replacing) and the wheels were starting to corrode. I changed the brakes myself, not a difficult job and am starting to look for a front bumper. As for the wheels, still not sure what to do, replace or refurb.

I would say your friend will probably be looking for an early S or an early 2.7 for 10K. Leave a bit in reserve as well. My coolant bottle split after 8 months of ownership, a common problem which cost £500 to fix. There are a few things like this that can bite you on the bottom.

Thanks for the tips!
An older car has appeared in the for sale section - hopefully my pal will be making contact with the owner, it looks ok from the advert and is located in London where my friend is.

Cheers
