Gloucester Waterways Museum and Boat trip Sunday July 7

Dear Porsche Club Members.

We had an invitation from the Museum (see below) and there are a few people interested in going.
Elaine and myself went a couple of years ago with the south west region and had a good time so we can recommend it.

INVITATION: We can offer you a tour around the museum as well as a trip on one of our cruise boats for a group rate charge of £8 per person for both of these activities. We were hoping that you could bring some of your classic cars along to the visit so that we could take some photographs which could be placed on Twitter & Facebook to help publicise the event. The cars would be protected by some metal barriers which will act as a deterrent to passers-by. Free parking would be provided for the day.

Basically it is a morning tour of the Museum a break for lunch (pic-nick, pub or cafe) then a boat trip in the afternoon.

The meeting time at the Museum is to be arranged but I am sure there will be some others who would like to start the day at the AV8 for breakfast.

Kind regards Elaine and Stuart

I believe Julie wanted to go to this so we are in. Hope you got afew others interested. Meeting at AV8 sounds like a good idea. Hopefully the sun will shine again.

Sunday July 7th 11.00 AM at the Museum or 09.00 at AV8 Kemble for breakfast.

There are a few of us going so far and should be a good day, plenty of room for some more.
The cost is £8.00 per person for Museum tour and afternoon boat trip payable at the Museum.

Hope to see you soon

We will be at the AV8 in the morning and aim to leave for the Museum about 10.15 the weather is looking good.

Parking is the area in front of the Museum and permits will be arranged from the Museum staff

Whatever you do, do not drive over Lantony Bridge or you will get a £60 fine. It is for emergency use only and signs are not clear.

See you there

Nice day out today, couldn't have been any warmer. Stopped at fantastic pub on way home to see the tennis in the Cotswolds. Cheers all.

We had a great time out again with our Region 16 members. The sun shone and shone and shone, we could not have asked for better weather. It started at Kemble with breakfast for some on a very sunny deck. Three cars then convoyed to the Gloucester Waterways Museum with tops down, well two of us could. We arrived at Glos Docks to find other members had arrived and some had even had an ice cream but we won't mention who! And guess what, yes you got it the sun was still shining and it was getting hotter and hotter. Most paid a visit to the Museum and then went for a welcome cold drink and/or lunch before boarding the boat which was taking us on a trip down the Canal.

Many thanks for your support

Kind regards Elaine and Stuart
