Glovebox

Hello,

I just changed my 944s2 cracked dash to a 968 item, all went surprisingly smoothly apart from one piece of cracked dash trim and i snapped the aerial lead... final job was to put my glove box back in - it wont fit! i can't work it out, it should be the same aperture but its really tight.

Any ideas, is there a special knack i'm missing or brute force?

Oh and i forgot that i removed the door card and it disintegrated from water damage, so now i'm ordering new vinyl and will build myself some RS'alike door cards - i'll post pics when im done unless its too embarrasing.

Thanks

Graham

well done Graham. I need to repair some items in my dash but have been reluctant to fiddle with it . There are so many bare wires dangling with little bits of electrical tape wound round them [:(]

How easy is it to remove the panel strip that houses the dash adjusting light switch below the heater contols? my switch has pushed right inside the trim grrrrr

Hi, Thats quite easy - a few screws but just be very careful when putting it back, dont tighten the screws or push to hard. Those pieces are very brittle. i'll probably just order a new bit from the opc as i want to get them body colour sprayed anyway when/if i get the body done.

I am a complete idiot when it comes to spannering, i just followed clarks garage and it went very well apart from the glovebox and the door card! also i did it in my tiny garage which was a pain in the ass, choose a day when you can get it outside and have some space.

Goodluck!
