GMUND CARS

Has anyone had any dealings with Gmund Cars in Yorkshire - if so any comments, good or bad, welcome.

Peter (current 996 Turbo, soon to be 964RS owner!)

Never bought a car from them, but I have known Andrew (Mearns) for several years and I have always found him to be honest, hard working and helpful.

I used GMUND / Andrew Mearns to sell my 4S - this was done on recommendation and can't fault the service as a seller. I know of 4 other club members who have sold and bought cars through them with absolutely no issues - two of them who have bought very tidy 964RS's. Andrew knows his cars and won't deal in rubbish.
Just my 2p's worth

What he said[:)]

I visited them last month to have a look at the maritime blue 964RSL they have in stock. I felt Anderw could have described the car more accurately over the phone before I made a 500 mile round trip to look at a car which isn't what I'm after.

Good luck!

wheres Des when you need him to give us a couple of paragraphs about "seeing the leicht", "you'll never go back", "porsche's finest"....sorry - forgot to put it all in CAPS as well [:D][;)]

Welcome Peter - good choice - and if it the Maritime one you chose the best colour as well [8D]

HELLO MATT still alive (just) yes the 996 Essex Turbo Boy has now seen the "LEICTHBAU" he will now experience real raw unplugged Porsche Driving in it's purist and most dangerous form.........GMUND CARS NO COMMENT.....

Matt -go and wash your car -it's a disgrace!

I thought I was in the old C4 again and was attempting a bit of off roading at Oulton...[:D]

Got to admit I felt a bit guilty at the Ace on Monday as everyone else seemed to turn up in gleaming immaculate cars - thats why I hid mine in the corner...covered in mud & road grime..

Might have to fit some of those neons as seen in that M5 however - would look smashing with the new 22" chrome spinner wheels I've got arriving next week...

Matt....don't for cripes sake clean it....in my book you're a beacon....I'm building up to the strength of character which allows mine to look like a real car not a bloody museum piece....AND IMHO they look better dirty....I am currently perfecting my cleaning technique to ensure I festidiously clean the underside....and leave the upper body dirty.....in fact I may just cancel the order for the neons/chrome wheelies and have the dirty look airbrushed PERMANENTLY onto the car![8D]...that way I can polish and look used!

Also thanks alot for the spin round....or rather THANKS ALOT![>:]......mine 'll just never feel the same now....just so much more RS than an RS...many thanks!

on the GMUND thing.....Andrew had previously bought and sold my car and when I spoke to him for background (after my buying it) he was very helpful, insightful and direct (discouraging me from moding it in fact)....that the extent of my experience....seemd like a nice guy!

Welcome back Desmond me ole fruit cake...

The old forums not been the same without you......and I'm sure that prices for the RS has softened a bit..I reckon its about time for one of your price updates...you know the one where white favours more over the other dodgy colours.
