Going Green 993 C2

Very nice. Looks like the 997 GT3 RS look is catching on. I'm sure we'll start to see more and more copies, now that supplies of the originals are starting to dry up. I have to say the 993 version is an improvement on the 997 original !

The orange is kinda growing, but the green one looks a little wishy-washy... IMHO

Maybe better in the flesh.

Both are beautiful cars. Are these repainted or are those the original colours? Just curious, that's all!

Hi Tim,

My Mint Green car is original paintwork from factory, with letter from the then MD to Stutgart asking if this colour could be an option for his customer in the UK, was purchased through AFN Reading. Since then it has I beleive a stone chip dusting according to Tognola Eng and of course the RS Spoilers.
The Orange car does have details in the recent article in oneof the 911 mags, but it is Porsche Orange with a Pearl Laquer, pictures do not do it justice. It is quite amazing when you are up close.
Also the pics where taken in bright sunlight unfortunately, this flattens the colours and gives a lot of contrast distorting the real colour.

I heard the Orange one running at Tognola (dropping mine off)....Jesus it sounds awesome......I beleive it used to be silver!!!!

They both look fantastic! Saw the article in 911 & PW for the orange one - unfortunately a bit beyond my means for an RS look - but I'd love to have one in Viper Green... have always loved that colour; a great original non-metallic[:D]

How nice to have an original car in that green. Re the orange one it must cost a fortune to respray a car in a new colour, or at least i imagine it would to do it properly! I think if i ever get showered with cash and can buy a new Porche i would go for orange. For now, must make do with Arena Red.

cheers
