Going to look.....tips ?

Gents,
A guy i know well is going to be selling his guards red 78 3.0 SC and if i like it may be going a deal with one of my 944 Turbos, it has been stored for around 3 years and required a new battery, understandable, MOT time has required a few new brake pipes and a few other items which i will know about when i see the mot sheet, car has 133k from new and a load of history.
Tips when looking please, i know about kidney bowls, inner wings, and headlight area.
Advice Appreciated...........i am okay with some spanner work.
