cheers im workin in richmond at the min thats why i can view it fingers crossed its a good one

Hi I had a look at the pics and description mention of Hartech is good but check when the head work was done and if belts were done at the same time.

It looks like a nice car and if the history is good then it may be the one for you.

One thing I notice from the front on picture is the lack of fog lights in the lower front valance consider if that may be a problem to you if you intend to use it as a daily driving car

Also advertised as the S should be 16ventiler and clearly says so on the air box The 944 S uses a 2.5-liter double-overhead-camshaft, 16--valve cylinder head engine obviously not the S2 which is a 3 litre as the seller has not posted any engine bay photos just check this when you view

that said enjoy the viewing and the drive if you are taken out I remember my first time in my lux and it is a pleasant experience especially if you have your heart set on it by that time good luck with the purchase if you decide to buy.

looks nice

check the bubbling on the cills carefully that he mentions

I like the interior - that colour is very 80's retro cool. Its got the optional extra speaker pack - you can see the larger speaker where the door bin would usually be and there is a smaller speaker on the top of the door below the wing mirror

thanks guys wil take every think on board will NOT buy on the first view if i like i will go back a second time so its with a clearer head

"There is minor bubbling on the sills (mainly offside, very little on near side actually). "

Unless you can weld and paint, I would give this one a miss, minor bubbling on a 944 sill quickly turns to holes in the sill with application of wire brush on grinder. Its probably the reason they are selling the car. Look at rust free examples. Ask if you can jab a screwdriver into the bubbling, if he refuses, say the MOT man is likely to do something simmilar.

Autotrader registration check says its a 944S 2.5 engine, 12 previous keepers, last keeper change 3.11.05

The "arty" photos make me wary. If you are genuine why not show :-
shots of engine bay to give an impression of maintenace (or neglect),
several shots of interior to include wear-prone drivers seat (rather than smarter passenger side),
close up of sill area so potential buyers can try and judge degree of common 944 rot ......?

No actual mention of when the expensive front-of-engine service was last done ?
Clutch replacement during 160K + miles ?

New to eBay so not worried about feedback ?

Good comments muddy I was going to say about the arty photos but only mentioned lack of engine bay perhaps the extra photos should be requested by Shaunp prior to making the visit to view

You might not fancy a Cat C - but this S2 might be worth a look. Current owner has had it 5-6 years
