For anyone wanting to attend the Gold Cup @ Oulton Park 29th & 30th August

Unfortunately we have been unable to negotiate free tickets for this. [:(]
We are still arranging a PCGB presence, but have yet to discover if we will have designated Porsche parking.
Tickets are priced at £15 per day, but they are available in advance at £20.00 for both days. Click HERE for further details.

If you would like to meet up to travel in convoy, please be at the Smoker on the A556 for 10.30.

club display passes were available at 50 % discount to the advertised rates, unfortunetly the new management did not send out the notice untill the end of July and Tickets had to be purchased by the 9th August, my other club managed to beat the deadline but with a very reduced display.

Still worth going even if you have to pay full price!!!

Possibly, but signing on is before 10, Sunday only this year.

*******Stirling Moss is demonstrating a Masser 250f the car in which he won the first gold Cup 50 years ago from the back of the grid********

I have not been advised of any parade laps, but then my contact at Oulton has not been very forthcoming this year![]

I am still trying to negotiate PCGB parking, if I am sucessful, parking passes will be available from me at the Smoker, or if you are planning to arrive earlier, please call in to the PCGB gazebo (if we get one) and I will give you a pass so you can move to the stand.

Claire and I should be able to join you on and off (Sun Morning and Monday afternoon..... ish)

We are going to a Wedding at Nunsmere Hall - just up the road from Oulton, so I've just bought 2 weekend tickets[:D]

Have to have something interesting to do whilst up there...[;)]

Will try!
Just have to try and remember what you look like... Do I have to dig out that programme with you choosing different cars down by the canal in Manchester again?[;)]

Hello Steve, I'm with Region 6 North Wales,(which isn't yet up and running again) and am wondering if this offer applies to anyone, or just to Region 5 members? If it does I will let Paul Williams know, he may well be interested. Brian (Williams).

Hi Brian, I don't know the answer to that but it won't hurt for you and Paul to drop Barry an e-mail: r5@porscheclubgb.com

he would need to know by 31st July as that's his deadline to get enough free tickets from Oulton Park.

Same for you Norm....any PCGB member should contact Barry to find out about getting a ticket. As I understand it MSV are making free tickets available for PCGB members to park their cars in a reserved area i.e. to make a nice display for the general public to see. The R5 RO (Barry) is MSV's contact point for distributing the tickets. [:)]

p.s. any passengers in the car have to pay the normal raceday entrance fee at the gate. Hopefully, the Mrs has her purse with her otherwise she'll have to wait outside for me for a few hours [:D]
