Hi,

I play golf (badly) and to remedy this I need to buy more kit. Has anyone tried fitting an electric trolley into the front luggage compartment on a 996 ?

I have had a look at the Powerkaddys which seem to break down into a fairly small package but not sure it will fit in the front.

I have a motocaddy s1 (bought new June 2011). It folds down pretty well but will not fit in the front boot of my Cayman.

I have to place it on top of the engine cover under the hatch, bag and clubs in the back boot.

Could be expensive to swap your 996 for a Cayman.

PS. I carry my clubs during the winter!

Not sure an electric golf cart will make you play better, I know I've been down that route[;)]

The old type of powerKaddy will fit, the type that comes apart but the later collapsible one won't even the narrow wheelbase is too big.

I could get my powerkaddy in the front passenger seat if I inverted it, (pointy end into the footwell) and the golf bag on top of the folded down rear seats

Marvellous, so not only am I going to have to buy more golf kit I am going to have to buy a Cayenne to sit along side the 996 [:D]

I'm off to tell her in doors.

I have 2 hill billies. The newer Terrain will not go into the front boot of my Boxster and the clubs will go into the rear boot. However the older original one does if I take the wheels off. The trolley is as this one on e-bay should you want to look?

1. Buying a trolley is just lazy [:D]
2. I fit my kids buggy in the front of my 996 C4 easily so shouldn't be too much diffrence (removed space saver wheel)
3. Buying a trolley is just lazy

I'm lazy too. So lazy, I gave up golf. [;)]

I have a Powakaddy Titanium Compact (not the current model) and it used to fit in the front boot of my C2 with the wheels removed. I honestly can't remember if I tried it in the Turbo, but I would doubt it would fit. It would be fine for a Targa.

It is available if you would like to make an offer. The battery has had it due to inactivity, but other than that it is in great shape.
