Gone and done it!

Well, after some great feedback on this forum about the change from 996 to 993 I have taken the plunge and put the deposit down on a rather nice 993 c4s in Polar Silver. Looks pretty solid and happy with the dealer experience thus far! He even put it up on a ramp and went round the car in detail to show me the various trouble spots and what to look for. All unhurried and genuine...but the proof is in the pudding!!

Long drive home in my 996 feeling a little sad as I have been water-cooled for a long time but the 's' 993 is just too much of a visual draw to ignore and I relish the more intense driving sensation....

Looking forward to getting stuck into this forum now :)

Cheers,

Mark [:D][:D]

Welcome to the 993 register. I am sure you will throughly enjoy your new car. Just coming up to the end of my first year of ownership and love every minute of it.

Welcome to the fold . I am having a 2nd honeymoon with the 4S after adjusting the accelerator pedal height at the weekend. Thought I had lost my 'heel and toe shuffle' I learnt at 17 in my 914 and refreshed in the 2.4S and the Carrera GT (924).

Well done Mark, I hope you enjoy the upgrade !

As you may know from other forums I've done the 993->996->993 ownership.
You'll find these cars are not the same and much to be enjoyed in their differences.

Mark

I can never forget my first moments & feelings of 993 ownership... seems like only yesterday, it's still that fresh in my minds eye.

Enjoy & welcome...

Will post some pics at the weekend once I have cleaned off the rubbish that was in it!

Any ideas on making the cracked leather a little more supple? I am using some stuff I bought at Ragley Hall last year...seems ok but could do with a little more 'oomph'
