Gone but not forgotten

Someone out there has just bought themselves a very nice Maritime Blue lightweight! The corollary to which statement is that mine is no longer in my garage. This change was not as you might be thinking the direct result of the idiots in government but rather a recognition that the car needed a more active owner than me and deserved to be doing more than 1k per year.

Not wanting to be plagued by tyre kickers and time wasters I let Paul at GT Classics deal for me, you may recall that is where it came from originally. Paul did an excellent job again and delivered by my best investment return over the last two years. Maybe I should give him the rest of the portfolio!

Des may need to sit down for the next bit. With another car on order and due in April 2010 I had intended to stay out of the market for a while, but idle fingers on the internet led me into all sorts of places they shouldn't. The unintended consequence of which is that there is a black kettle in the garage. No prizes for guessing where it came from!

And as I will want to post from time to time on the other forum I thought I'd better fess up here first. So my thanks to Des, Mel, John, Ian, Vic, Kevin and many others for your advice and friendship. Hopefully this move won't mean I'm blackballed from the Car, Cigars and Curry evenings and at the moment my first date looks like the Oulton meeting in early November. Don't worry I have already found the right indicator so shouldn't get in your way.

Cheers

Nick

Don't apologise Nick, I also have a Kettle. GT3 ?

I have even been indulged my pink wheels on a Maritime car !

Yes. Basalt Mk2 comfort late 2003, one owner 27k miles. Seemed like a nice car so would have been rude to say no.
