Gone but not forgotten ......

Having made the decision to sell, I am pleased (but sad at the same time) that the 3.2 has found a good home back where it came from in Germany.

I sold the car (unseen) on Ebay to a German lawyer, who kept in touch throughout the whole process - it really was a great Ebay sale.

The car has gone to be the sister car of his dark blue 1987 Cabrio, so now he has a pair (cabrio and coupe).

The car was collected by a transport company that he says were really great www.exmod.info - they transport ex military vehicles as well as cars all over the continent - the Porsche shared transport with a DB7 (which was on the outside trailer !).

I am now at the point where I need a regular (not daily) driver, and whilst a 993 is a good car, it just seems too expensive at twice the price of a good 964 / 911.

Therefore, I am going to go for a nice LHD 964 that I can make in to an RS 'like' car (not a copy), or perhaps a pre-impact car that has been well maintained and can take the mileage (more risky I know).

Having had an IB car I feel I ought to try something different, but you never know - a rust free, FSH lower mileage car might do the trick though !

See you around on the forums when I have my new motor.

atb for the summer and enjoy Classic Le Mans if you are going.
