Good places to buy new tyres ?

Don't worry - this is not another thread on which tyres are best. I want some Eagle F1's. Just wondered if there are any bargain places - they seem to be about £180 a pair fitted at home/office. I can shave off a quid if I want to go to some dumb tyre centre who will pump them upto 40psi like they did last time....

Micheldever tyres always seem to be ultra competitive, and they are used to dealing with cherished cars....

Yes Micheldever always do a good price, however they are not so careful when fitting, I buy the tyres from them and then get a local "bling wheels" shop- to fit the tyres, saves scratches on my refurbished Fuchs,

Richard,
I'm not sure where you live but I have just had very good quote for a set of tyres for the family car. Autospeed of Swindon quoted £356 fitted/ VAT etc, when Kwikfit wanted £640 for the same tyres!!!! They didn't have the tyres in stock but would get them in the next day for that price. Autospeed are on 01793 520629.
Hope this helps

TVM but in the end I got them from Black Circles for £70 each unfitted. There were a few places a bit cheaper but I needed them fast and reliable (MOT failure) so got them from BC who were really good on delivery last time. Unlike the fitters who were crap.

Bracknell Tyre and Battery in Bracknell West London/Surrey. Fast, cheap and reliable. Oreders in the following day. Do lots of Porsches. I went in for Eagle F1s. Got there at 1 pm in queue behing 6 other cars, left about 45 mins later all fitted and balanced. 2 225/45/17 and 2 255/40/17 for £395 fitted, balanced and VAT all in.

Good luck (in yeloow pages is you want the address - online too)
