The Cayman is currently being loaded on to a ship bound for Australia, I'm off there for a bit.

I will be joining the Australian Porsche club so won't have access to the forum so goodbye all!

It was great to meet some of you, I hope you all have a good summer.

Hi I was looking to take my 996C4S over there if possible, did you organise it yourself or did you get an agent? Been looking at costs which are horrific in terms of tax, cleanliness etc as they value car at Australian prices, 3 times UK, can you pm me with any info please. Going to WA. Brad

PORKA, hopefully I have had the shipping bill of lading based on £13k. To physically ship it to Melbourne costs £950, I'll let you know how I get on with the other costs..

Hi Thanks it would be interesting to know as I believe OZ will base the tax payable on my car valuation over there so it would be in the region of 34% of probably $80-90k plus other landed costs, cleaning, testing, plating and other taxes etc. Brad
