Hello All

The Goodwood Breakfast on 07 November looks like a good one "˜Deutsch Marques! - Germany's finest motoring marvels'. So we will be heading down there and then back up to the Bird in Hand for the regular meet if anyone would like to join us. An early start is essential so meet here:

http://www.thenewinn.info/contact.htm

at 06:30 for a 06:45 departure. Departure will be prompt since we'll be aiming to park in the paddock.

Please reply to this thread if you'll be coming along.

Cheers

James

Hi James

Definitely up for this, so see you at the meeting point....subject to MoT on the Friday at Northway!!!

Hello James,

We will come along for the experience but is there anyhwere on the route we can meet you, as Heckfield, according to the satnav, is 14 miles and 34 minutes in the wrong direction. We live in Warfield near Bracknell, close to the A329M.
If you can tell me what route you are taking we wait for you to pass.

Kind regards
Ian & Karen

Hi Ian & Karen

Yeah, it's miles out of the way for me too but meeting there has become a tradition. The route from Heckfield onwards is pretty good. To be honest though I normally just follow Tony who has led these runs in the past, so I am not 100% sure what route we will take at this stage...

Craig - do you have a route in mind and if so could you suggest a petrol station or similar at which to meet Ian & Karen. I was thinking we'd take in the descent through Steep but otherwise don't have firm plans yet.

Cheers

James

Ah - I was actually hoping that Tony would be leading as usual. If not, I will have a think about the route and where Ian and Karen can join on.

Tony - erm, could you perhaps send me the route if you're not coming?!

Blimey that's early for a Sunday morning!! I'm up for going too.

Heckfield is just up for road from me, so will see you there.

Cheers

Paul

I am a 'maybe' for the run down. Depends on a few factors which I won't know until last minute. Fingers crossed...

[FONT=Arial"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]I reckon your SatNav is telling porkies (15 miles from Bracknell?). If you wanted to join the convoy, then best bet would be M3 J5 and then wait on A287 towards Farnham/Odiham dual carriageway (1st left off motorway). James has done this before. I would say they should pass this way about 7.10/7.15am. It's a great run on a Sunday morning. Hope that helps.

Ian and Karen - you could meet us here as it's not far off the M3 which you can join from Bracknell.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]
The Poacher[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Alton Rd[FONT=verdana, geneva"]South Warnborough, Hook, Hants RG29 1RP[FONT=verdana,geneva"]01256 862 218[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]We should be there within 20 mins of leaving the New Inn so meet us there at 0705 latest. I think Tony was on similar lines but this place has a car park and is safer to wait by than trying to cram into a layby![FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Hi Craig,

That's good I will meet you all there, now that I have seen the route, I can appreciate why you are meeting up at Heckfield.

Collected the car from Northway this morning...a fresh MoT and all new fluids, so see you at the New Inn.

James,

I am a definite maybe for tomorrow morning.

I can't make up my mind whether to join you at the New Inn or at the Poacher.
I am still trying to work out which route will give me a few more minutes in bed. I shall be coming from Holyport.
I don't know what it will be like Sunday AM but M4 junction 8/9 it totally gridlocked today(because the A404M to Marlow is shut again) so I thnk I will play safe and head for the M3 at Bagshot.

I hope I can make it, but please don't hang around if I am not there on time.

If I get separated from the group and still make it to Goodwood, do you have specific meeting points? I only tried to get there for a breakfast once before and ended up having a bacon buttie in a field miles away.

Thanks,

John Bradbury

I won't be joining you for the convoy, as I'm starting a little further south than you guys, but I'll keep an eye out for you at Goodwood, as I'll be going [:)]. Weather looks promising as well [8D].

Hi John

In the past we have managed to arrive en masse so we don't have a particular meeting point once we've arrived.

Hope to see you at one of the pubs, if not we will see you there. I am on 07935 314021 if we ger separated.

Cheers

James

I really enjoyed it there, it was a pretty freezing breakfast though! :)

Ah well...

The thing to do is to avoid the supposedly posh breakfast in the marquee, where the food tends to be cold even in the summer, and have breakfast in the aero club instead. It's a heated building, the food is slightly cheaper, the portions are larger and the food is hotter!

Ahh trick for new visitors! Will bare that in mind next time! I thought it was preety mad at the time. Nevertheless, great day out.
