Any R19 members going to the Breakfast Club meeting on the 4th April?

The theme is Sporting Family Favourites: Four-seater fun, so hoping for a grid position....

I'll be driving from Windsor weather permitting!

Sam

Sadly I don't think so - family commitments and all that.

Would have liked to see your 993. I miss mine...

You're on your own, Scotty. Personally I love the Tartan carpets, olde-worlde style and hip young clientele. They won me over with the free cheese on the bar. [:)]

Isn't this the same date as the Monthly meeting and Easter Sunday?

They always clash but it works out well if you use Tony's fantastic route down to Goodwood and then cross country back to The Bird in Hand. It makes for a brilliant trip.

I can't make the BiH or Goodwood this Sunday unfortunately. Brands Hatch on the 19th and the Cotswold Rally on the 25th are next up for me.

I have to agree with Craig I'm afraid James. The BiH does have the significant drawback of being too small when we want to be inside in the winter but outside in the summer it's great. It's well situated, has four or so real ales, good food and a big tarmac carpark. Plus I think consistency is a good thing, at least for a while yet.

Having said that, I really enjoyed our trip to the Five Horseshoes the other day (despite picking up a nasty scratch, car goes into the bodyshop next weekend) and I'm certainly up for more of the same. In fact I hereby undertake to arrange a pub run in June.

Hi Simon,

Will be starting from Kings Road, near the Royal Adelaide Hotel (the blue one). If the weather is good I'll be leaving at around 7.00am, hopefully early enough to get a place on the grid. Do you want to drive across in convoy?

Didn't see the response until way too late. I did look out at 06.00 and decided as it was hoofing down I would give it a miss. If you went hopefully it was a good day, there was a large contingency as ususal meeting at Gildford Cathedral about 50 cars to convoy down.
Maybe we can arrange something on the next one for a run out!

Sorry to have missed you, was a good trip down but showers on and off all the way there, even though it had stopped raining in Windsor at 7.00am. Will definately try to hook up for the next one.

Not sure if you can help, but I'm due to lose the garage I rent in Windsor as the owner has sold it. Do you know anyone in Windsor with a spare garage I could rent or some temporary indoor space till I find something more permanent?

Cheers

Sam

I don't have space in my garage, but I will ask a few people I know you have garages that don't use them for cars. I'm in Old Windsor as are the garages. Is this still an option?

Hi Simon,

Yeah, Old Windsor would be fine, central Windsor even better, but anything to not have my car in the street or in storage miles away!

Thanks for looking into it.

Sam
