Hi All

This is generally thought of as the Breakfast Club to go to and it's always the most popular.

So, for anyone that wants to join the run down I'll be at The New Inn at Heckfield (RG27 0LE) at 06:15 for a 06:30 departure. We'll convoy down to Goodwood via the back roads for breakfast, a natter and a look at all the cars before heading back up to The Novello for the monthly meet. If you're going to come along please post on this thread.

Cheers

James

Just received confirmation from Goodwood today that we will be allowed to park on the circuit or in the paddocks if we go on Sunday. Not been to one of these before, is it a good meet? Is it worth the drive down from Leeds?

Cheers.

Well, the Breakfast Club is always a good meet and Supercar Sunday is usually the busiest of the lot. Plus, Goodwood is well worth a visit in its own right if you've not been before.

It is very much a breakfast meet though and it's generally all over by noon if not before and Supercar Sunday in particular gets very busy so you need to be there early. I wouldn't contemplate trying to arrive after 8am at the absolute latest so you may want to travel down the night before.

The surrounding area has a lot to offer, it's near the coast, Chichester is very nice and there are some great walks in the woods north of Chichester so occupying the rest of your day shouldn't be a problem.

Having said all that though, I've only met owners of real exotica (who have therefore been invited) who've travelled that far so I can't say whether it's worth the trip from Leeds. I suggest making a full weekend of it if you can, that will definitely be worth it.

By all means drop me a line once you are there.

Hey James

Thanks for your very helpful reply. We've been to the FoS a couple of times and have booked for this year (including the new supercar parking option, hope it's worth it!). Thought the Supercar Sunday might be one of those things to do once, especially this one as the 911 anniversary is being recognised. Thanks for your number, will get in touch if we decide to come down.

Hi James...I'll be coming, but only if June tax disc arrives in tomorrow's post! An oversight on the paperwork, I'm afraid. I'll let you know Saturday.

Hi James, I will do my best to join you for the cruise down to Goodwood (but to wake me at 05.00 on Sunday morn could take WW3!!) I will meet you guys at Heckfield...

Cheers Max

Hi all

Will be my first trip to Goodwood and first time out with the region but plan to be at Heckfield?

A lovely run out in brilliant weather. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks for organising and navigating the route for us, James! [:)] I am grateful that AC bullied me into going. [:D]

Great morning drive to The Goodwood Breakfast Club and then back to Novello, nice to exercise the loud pedal in convoy with AC and Glenn, and those that tried to keep up[8D]. Cheers for organising it James.[:)]

No problem at all, it was a brilliant morning. Thanks for coming, it's a lot less fun on my own!

Clive - I'm sorry if we missed you but we had to head off at 6:30 because Goodwood gets so busy after about 8:00. Did you make it?

James
