Goodwood Breakfast Club

There is a bunch of early Porsche drivers meeting at Petworth at 0800h. Please feel free to join us. I will be leaving Newick on the A272 at 0715h

A group from London region are coming down in a convoy, leave some space for us if you get in early [;)]; should be there by 8:15-8:30am...

Say, can someone please look at the route we are taking (link below) towards Goodwood and let us know if we continue on A285 up till Halnaker and then take the unknown road into Goodwood? As the route planner is telling us to turn onto Selhurstpark Rd from A285? Is the unknown road open?

Many thanks,

There's a bunch from Crawley/Horley who inhabit 911uk.com going down. I would have been with them but my speedo is currently in California being refurbed.

ps Born in Ardingly so I know your usual hang out very well

can't see which unknown road you are referring to?

your route looks fine tho'

If you zoom in at the end the road between Halnaker and Goodwood has no name on the map, just wanted to make sure it is open; the google route avoided that bit of the road...

I would go further south and turn right onto New Road. Hainaker will take you straight through the estate to Goodwood House. When you get to the roundabout at the junction with Claypit road, turn left, the circuit is just 200 yards. You will then not be able to turn right into the circuit, but be sent by the police south to the roundabout outside the Rolls Royce factory before being allowed north again to enter the circuit

Rather than going further south should we then stick to the route planner and turn onto Selhurstpark Rd from A285 (south) and then take Eastdean Hill-> Newbarn Hill into Goodwood, since we will be coming from the North?

You can either go along Selhurst Park Road to the horse racing track and drop down to the circuit or use New Road. You need to adjust your destination from Goodwood House to the race circuit.
