Hey hey -enjoy the 2.7 RS. I drove it a few years ago and commented how well it handled -"That's what Stirling Moss said when he drove it last week"[]

I managed to blag two runs in the RS last year, it did indeed handle beautifully - very delicate and communicative. Sadly it was looking a bit tatty, and thanks to too many people doing 5-2 downshifts and buzzing the engine, they have now put a crude block on 5th gear. It's also limited to 5,500 rpm, so it cuts out just as you are getting to the sweet spot. It's a shame, but I guess they have to cater to the lowest common denominator as most of the time the car is used for the Red Letter Day type "experience" days.
One of the Mithril instructors has a very nice looking RHD (if I remember) Amethyst 964 RS, so with any luck I'll be able to twist his arm to make sure I, at least, get a few laps in my own car.
All in all it's a bit of a frustrating day on the driving front due to the physical limitations put on the cars. Last year I got told off for "driving too fast" in the Formula Ford as I was bouncing it off the rev limiter for most of the lap and overtaking Ferraris and Lambos !!!
The Harvard was fun, but the aerobatics did make me think I might be reacquainted with my (extremely good) breakfast !!!! Rather took the shine off some of the afternoon as I wasn't feeling exactly 100% !
