I finally got around to installing my Ipod into my C4S Cab using the Dension Gateway 500 and I really like it. I have PCM2 so the playlists, albums and artists are displayed on screen as I hoped they would be. It takes a while to get used to accessing the menus but when you do its easy enough. The PCM screen can't simply scroll the pods lists as the Ipod does but instead places all the lists on "pages" of 30 entries each so you have to wait for the page to "turn" for the next 30 on the Ipod lists.
I removed my CDC4 and I secured the 3 connector ports (Ipod, Aux and USB to the CDC bracket and they all poke through the hole where the CDC used to be. I have mounted the G500 unit on top of the petrol tank under the plastic trim. The whole install took less then 30 minutes and I never had to remove any of the dash. I put it all in the front because the car is a cabriolet and I didn't want an opportunist grabbing my Ipod from the glove box if I left the top down with the glove box unlocked (I am very forgetful when it comes to locking things).
For those reading about the Gateway 500 for the first time, it will only work with MOST fibre optic fitted cars So PCM 1 is not suitable.
